Thinking organisationally about process

Aka Engaging critically with values, a title that owes much to the excellent Engaging critically with models by Rebecca Wirfs-Brock and Mathias Verraes, and where that values are the system of nine originated in Mike’s classic blog post Introducing Kanban through its values and developed in his 2014 book, Kanban from the Inside. Following a line of further development via Right to Left: The digital leader’s guide to Lean and Agile (2019, audibook 2020) and Wholehearted: Engaging with Complexity in the Deliberately Adaptive Organisation (2025), this talk explores how a process-centric approach can be expanded into a more organisational way of thinking.
